Burners – direct heating
Ceramic burner nozzles for gas- or oil-fired industrial furnaces (e.g. for impulse and recuperative burners) as well as for household burners have been used successfully by almost all renowned furnace construction companies all over the world for many years. Compared with steel ceramic materials entail the big advantage of an enhanced life-time. Furthermore, their thermal mass is lower due to the significantly lower density of ceramics compared to steel. In this field of application (silicon infiltrated) silicon carbides are used most frequently.
